The Spanish Association of Alternating Hemiplegia Syndrome (AESHA), is a non-profit association that operates in the Spanish territory, collaborating with other international associations and in which different Spanish families with children affected by the disease have come together to achieve a common goal To reach this end it has been necessary to find and gather the maximum number of Spanish families affected by the disease, in order to have enough data for a correct investigation that will lead us to know the disease better.
In addition, the exchange of experiences lived among the members of the association, allows a broader view of the disease in terms of social aspects, education and family support, thus allowing a better performance.
The Association actively collaborates in the different scientific research projects to determine the origin and a better treatment of the disease. For this, we have the participation of many pediatric neurologists, some of them are also part of our scientific committee.
At the international level, we are in contact with the different associations of Alternating Hemiplegia of the world, exchanging knowledge and participating in the different events that are organized.
